Meteora’s 3LP: Building Liquidity Pools for Liquidity Providers and Launchpads

Over the past few months, Meteora has been innovating on new products and features to improve LPing for users, but a lot of attention has recently been directed towards the memecoin token launch use case.

Now, we want to return towards the core focus of Meteora — building the best liquidity technology and LP Army in crypto.

Moving forward, Meteora will focus on the 3LP:

Building world-class Liquidity Pools,
For all Liquidity Providers,
For all Launchpads.

Accessible Liquidity Pools for All

The first pillar of the 3LP — making our Liquidity Pools as accessible and powerful as possible for all LPs and launchpads alike.

To drive this focus forward, we’ve implemented an overall restructuring of the Meteora page — you’ll be able to see an improved layout across all types of liquidity pools on the front page.

The new UI also includes the following improvements:

1. Easy Pool Creation: Token teams can set up and customize any type of liquidity pool directly from the front page via the ‘Create Pool’ button. Whether you’re looking to create a DLMM pool or Dynamic pool, this update is designed to get you up and running quickly.
2. Launch Pool Visibility: Launch Pools are a great way for token teams for bootstrap liquidity using customizable strategies. Launch Pools now have their own dedicated section, making them easier to discover. On top of that, we’ll be highlighting tools like the Alpha Vault and Pool Liquidity Lock on the UI in upcoming updates.
3. M3M3 Pools: M3M3 pools will be fully incorporated into Meteora. Instead of a separate platform, M3M3 pools will now be part of the core ecosystem. You’ll still be able to create pools, stake, earn fees, and withdraw liquidity as always.

By unifying liquidity pool discovery, simplifying pool creation, and improving accessibility, we’re working to make it easier than ever for LPs and token teams to participate, manage liquidity, and drive growth within the Meteora ecosystem.

Upcoming v2 Pools for Liquidity Providers

DLMM v2 — More Control, More Access

DLMM v2 is all about giving LPs more flexibility and control.

With Dynamic Positions, managing larger positions will be simpler and more efficient than ever.

Plus, with Token 2022 support, DLMM will be open to even more LPs, token teams, and integrators, helping it reach a much broader audience across the ecosystem.

Dynamic AMM v2 — Smarter & More Efficient

We’re making big improvements to flexibility, usability, and security in the new Dynamic AMM v2.

Dynamic AMM v2 pools will have higher capital efficiency and allow LPs to support more volume compared to typical constant product AMMs.

Token 2022 will also be supported, along with extensions like transfer fee and metadata, while on-chain fee management means LPs get more customization and control over their fees.

v2 pools would be de-linked from Dynamic Vaults, which would help streamline pool integrations.

Driving Launch Pool Innovation

We’re also exploring new types of launch pools, creating even more tools and opportunities for token teams to design their ideal token launch.

With these upcoming improvements, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of liquidity innovation, making sure our LPs have the best possible tools to succeed.

Growing the Best LP Army In Crypto

The second pillar of the 3LP — empowering our Liquidity Providers, the LP Army, to reach their fullest potential.

The LP Army has grown so much over the past year — various initiatives, sub-communities and tools have been formed with the unified goal of helping LPs use the DLMM more effectively.

The LP Army Bootcamp, led by @heavymetalcook6, has helped level up thousands of new users from zero to hero on the DLMM. We hit a massive milestone with the bootcamp initiative last month — this was the first-ever month where the LP Army has hosted FOUR different bootcamps across various languages (Turkish, French, Portuguese & English) in one month. Massive shout-out to @tiiagoslb, @MetturkDAO, @Ser_kuka_sol and many more of our talented LP instructors.

The folks from @thegoosedao, led by @memecoinassasin, @OttoCatalytic, @itschieph and many others, also deserve special recognition for constantly sharing their knowledge through educational content and being a great role model to new LPs wanting to level up on the DLMM. These folks are some of our most active users and educators on the Meteora Discord server alongside our great community moderators (@defigosha, @photonmagicsol, @RizzopLP and many more), actively answering questions and guiding fellow LPs in their journey.

The LP Army has also expanded on initiatives to encourage more developers to build on top of Meteora. @AlekssRG, the creator of metlex.io, as well as @GeekLad, the lead for all things DevRel in the LP Army, have helped to inspire and encourage a wave of fantastic tools and platforms like @UseUltraLP, @cleopetrafun, @SolMeteorAI and more to be built on top of the DLMM. These are just some of the many initiatives being led by the LP Army.

We want to do more to accelerate the growth of our community — to support this, we’ll be implementing a number of changes including:

1. Restructuring the Community Calls: Our weekly community calls will focus on empowering you. Whether you’re building a new tool or starting a new initiative, the community call will become the stage to showcase your work.
2. Launching a new LP Army Page: We will be launching a dedicated page to highlight all the contributors of the LP Army, along with more details on the various initiatives they’re leading.
3. Expanding Global Reach: LPing is a universal language — we want to expand the LP Army globally and support even more community members interested in organizing regional events and teaching other users how to LP across the world.

Strengthening Our Liquidity Partnerships and Ecosystem

The third pillar of the 3LP — helping launchpads, partners, and integrators win.

Our ecosystem partners play an integral role in Meteora’s growth.

We will refine our documentation and SDKs to make it easier for developers to integrate Meteora pools and build amazing launchpads and tools on top of Meteora.

We will also establish a tighter feedback loop with launchpads, partners and integrators to deeply understand their pain points so that we can help them build faster and better.
